Optician/Office Manager
Britney began working for Family Vision Center in 2000 as a part-time employee. She worked her way up to Optical Manager before moving on to a “Big Business” job in 2005. After honing her management skills and completing a mangement degree. She returned to her small town roots to take on the Office Manager position in 2008. Since then, she has fostered an environment of cooperation and cohesiveness throughout the office. If there is ever a problem or error in the office, you can be sure that Britney will do whatever she can to come to a fair and reasonable resolution to the issue. She is highly skilled and knowledgeable in all areas of the office but she is most valuable as an Optician where she can give you honest and insightful recommendations on your eyewear.
Judy's "hard work" philosophy and commitment to excellence has earned her the respect of her team and the role of advocate for patients and staff over the past 5 years. She is dedicated, dependable and honest. She always does for the patient what she would want done for her. Judy's primary responsibility is preparing insurance and billing and double checking to make sure that charges are applied and billed correctly. She also is trained in frame selection and general receptionist duties.
Chastity began working at Family Vision Center in 2005. She started off as an Optometric Assistant and worked as a Supervisor in the Clinic for 2 years. She later became an Optician and most recently earned the distinction of Optical Manager. She is a very knowledgeable Optician with a very kind heart. She is always looking for the best way to help each and every patient. She is not happy unless our patients are happy.
Vanessa joined the practice in 2005 as an Optometric Assistant. She has since become the authority in the clinic with an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a wonderful commitment to our patients. Vanessa can hold her own in pretty much any area of the office and works hard to make Family Vision Center a clean and inviting environment for our patients.
A former customer service manager, Barbara came to Family Vision Center in 2005 to transition the office into a Medical Management facility capable of billing for diagnostic testing, management of ocular pathology as well as minor surgical procedures of the eye and surrounding tissues. She has used her exceptional problem solving skills to secure maximum insurance reimbursement so that patients get maximum coverage by their insurance provider.
Erica brought with her, years of experience in Ophthalmology when she joined the team in 2007. She has extensive training and holds a degree in medical coding and billing. She is trained on all of our diagnostic testing machines but spends most of her time organizing and running the front desk, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance benefits and checking patients in.
In 2007, Tina decided to take a job working at Family Vision Center as an Optometric Assistant. She was very quick to learn the ropes and quickly became a patient favorite because she is such a sweet person. She is extremely friendly and tries very hard to do whatever she can for each of her patients. Patients who she has worked with quite often give management compliments on her professionalism.
Savanna recently joined Family Vision Center in November of 2009. She brings with her experience in Medical Billing, but more importantly, she brings a sweet and pleasant demeanor to our Reception Desk. She excels at organization, multitasking and providing first class customer service. Savannah is the voice you hear when we call to check on you after you have gotten your glasses.
